I think that the whole circle represents the psyche of Jekyll better than the split one. Even though Jekyll takes on an entirely different appearance as Hyde, it is still his body and he is aware of everything. Jekyll just thinks like Hyde and therefore doesn't care about his actions in the same way he normally would. But he also admits to liking acting like Hyde and not caring about who he hurts. In the end, Jekyll isn’t even capable of controlling when he changes because the two are so inseparable. They are quite literally the same person, only with different morals.

I believe the whole circle better represents the psyche of Dr. Jekyll because although he believes that he is split equally between good and evil, he is not. If his brain was an equal split between good and evil then when he made the potion that separated him from Mr. Hyde, he would have no evil urges as Dr. Jekyll, but he did. Dr. Jekyll is as every human being, a mixture between good and evil that cannot be separated. He may have the ability to control his evil urges but he does not have the ability to fully separate them from the good ones.

In my opinion, I agree completely with what Martina said. I think that the whole circle better represents the psyche of Dr. Jekyll because every human can control their personality to be good or evil. Only in Dr. Jekyll's case its a little different because when his personality changes to evil, he becomes a different man.

I think that Jekyll tried to make his personality so that the circle divided in half would be more accurate, but his potion and experiments failed. Gradually, his evil personality/side (Hyde) took over beyond Jekyll's control. Therefore, the whole circle more accurately describes Jekyll's psyche because the two sides become blended.

I think the whole circle reprensents the psyche of Dr. Jekyll is better than splited circle, because Dr. Jekyll is kind when he didn't have the potion. He control himself to conflict the evil. After he drinking the potion, Mr. Hyde appeared, and he was an evil guy. Although Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are two different characters, they weren't simultaneous characters of each of them. So whoever Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde, the whole circle represents the psyche of Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde is better.

I think the circle is the best representation of Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. after we read the whole story we can know that Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde are the same people, and i think the reason why Dr.Jekyll wants to become Mr.Hyde is that Mr.Hyde is free, he doesn't need to care about what other people's thinking, and he can do whatever he wants. but Dr.Jekyll is respected by other people, so if he did something wrong, many people will criticize him, and will give damage to his position in the society. therefore, he find a way to express his evil behavior and kind of successful. thus, Mr.Hyde is part of Dr.Jekyll,so the circle is the best represention.

I think the complete circle represents Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde better than the two halves. Dr. Jekyll knew what he was doing when he transformed into Hyde. He knew Hyde was a killer and a monster yet he continued to drink the potion and live the life of Mr. Hyde. He wanted to be Mr. Hyde.

I think the circle is more accurate to represent the psyche of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde because I believe each person has two sides, a good side and an evil side. People who behave nice are because they can control themselves to be nice. So does Dr.Jekyll. He is a very gentle and respectful man who is adored by other people. But the difference is that he can't control his thought to be evil.So he event a potion to transfer into Mr.Hyde.However,when he becomes Hyde,he also let Jekyll in this body because he can use Jekyll's tone to write letters to his friend. From this we can know Hyde let Jekyll in instead of kicking him out. So, his psyche is just one.

I believe that the circle divided best represent Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Throughout the novel they do not really act as one person but rather act as completely separate entities. When Mr. Hyde is out, Dr. Jekyy no longer exists and their actions and behaviors are that of two completely different people, not the same person. Dr. Jekyll also loses control over Mr. Hyde, reaffirming the fact that they are indeed two separate people who have no control over one and another any more then any other two normal humans.

I think the first diagram accurately portrays Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Although they were separate personality wise they were still part of the same person. In a sense everyone has good and bad in them.

I believe that the full circle that isnt divided best represents Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. This is because they really are both the same people, and there are a lot of times in the book where they suggest that Jekyll was prehaps more like Hyde in his youth and he supresses it now. Society believes they should act a certain way, but Jekyll is dying for his wilder part to come out. It is within him all along, and he finally creates a potion to set him free. He knew what this potion did, but was still tempted to use it often, suggesting that Jekyll and Hyde are both the same.

I believe that the divided circle best represents the psyche of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde because his personality is completely divided. A full circle wouldn't make sense because it does not portray his two polar personalities

I think just because he had a split personality does not mean that it is the circle divided. I think it is the whole circle because he is only one person. He physically never changes people although he does pick up a new personality. So I think the whole circle is more accurate.

In my opinion, the divided circle accurately represents Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde's personality. The divided circle shows that Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the same person yet they have completely different personalities. And when Mr. Hyde is the dominant personality, Dr. Jekyll is out of the picture.

The whole circle is the best representation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Although he has a split identity he is still himself. The split circle shows two completely different things attached to make one. However in this case the two things are not completely different and we can see this towards the end of the book when Jekyll no longer wants to be Hyde. He wants to change for good.

I believe that the full circle represents Jekyll/Hyde best, because they aren't two halves of the same person. It's one man with an alter ego, created by himself. We don't consider schizophrenics as two different people even though the separate personalities can be completely polar.

I agree that the full circle represents what the author is trying to portray in a villain the best. The author is using this to show the theme of evil being in everyone's nature. That all humans have a bit of goodness in them but also they have a dark side that leads to the corruptness in todays society. Jekyll shows this in his calm and collects side, and Hyde supports it with his violent and evil nature. The full circle represents Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide well by showing these two opposites in the same person, at the same time as representing human nature in general.
